Vanguard Hops from 2007

I just couldn't help myslef, I bought a pound of vanguard from midwest for $14 shipped from the 2007 crop. They are vaccume packed in oxygen barrier bags of course and have been in the freezer. That AA is 3.7 and I am hoping I can still use these hops.

I have had success using 2 year old hops, even for dry hoping so I am hoping these are OK. Any insights or comments...or even words of encouragement would be appreciated!

Gueze uses three year old hops...

The AA% will have diminished a bit, but otherwise, if they smell good they should be fine. Especially if they've been sealed and in the freezer.

wow, even less than 3.7 AA? Not really that much I can do with them from a bittering perspective! Maybe I will use 3-4 ounces to bitter an octoberfestish thing or a maibock.
