I doubt you're going to get a response, looks like he hasn't been on in more than a year.

I've had good luck with the vanilla beans from Penzeys, their prices aren't bad either.
 
Any other common places to get whole vanilla beans? I found a website TopVanillia.com that seems to have good prices but ??? Quality ???

Any tried and true places?
 
Thanks Dirty, Just got a bit of the Madagascar and a sampler pack. I will have plenty for the beer and I will try making some extract as well. So instead of making the vanilla toffee brown ale this weekend I think I am going with an imperial IPA...maybe a double batch weekend if time goes good with the second batch being a smoked banana wizenbock :ban:
 
I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd mention that Amazon also carries whole, vacuum-packed Madagascar vanilla beans.
