solved: cheap propane burner lost force over time

This tip restored full power to my turkey frier. I though I would pass it on.

So if you are running a low-end frier and that jet turbine rushing sound, this might bring it back. It did for me.

Odds are that was a sticking OPD (Overflow Prevention Device) on the connector, rather than the regulator itself. OPDs are required on many consumer applications. Basically a little SS ball, a spring, and a few gas passages. A little condensation in there and the ball refuses to drop out the whole way, limiting your flow to less than optimal. Try blowing out the connector with compressed air and make sure to store it inside for increased life (especially true on a cheap one).

I replaced the POS 10psi irregulator on my fryer with a 0-60 psi regulator just like I have on my propane torch. It's a world of difference and it doesn't stick any more. Well worth $22.
