Gonna build a mlt from a 10 gallon rubbermaid an dnot sure which stainless fitting to use from bargain fittings... the extreme kind or the standard? Hopefully extreme, because that would be... well, extreme.

Order the standard cooler fitting for this cooler

I bought the cooler pictured in the post above at Home Depot, and installed the standard Bargain Fittings kit. Everything works great. Unless you're committed to a false bottom or some other kind of manifold, I highly recommend also ordering the BF large diameter braid; it lauters like a dream.

Is this still true? Your website now seems to direct people to get the Round Cooler option, not the standard, since the coolers now come with a slight inset around the hole.

Is the only difference between the round cooler and the standard just the extra shim?

They have gone thinner with the plastic. The round cooler option allows for this and shims out the valve so it will close properly without hitting the side of the cooler wall.
