I picked up an older BM23 this weekend, it gets very cold but it produces quite a lot of condensation inside the cabinet, enough to leave about 1/4" of water on the floor. The water drains out and runs all over my garage.

I realize there is a drain hole and I can put a drain pan underneath, but I'm just wondering if this much condensation is normal? Emptying a drain pan a few times a week is not ideal ... and it also prevents me from putting this unit in the house because if I forget to empty it I will ruin maple hardwoods.

Just wondering if this is normal, and if there is anything I can do to reduce the amount of condensation?

thanks,
Jeremy
