Pin lock kegs

I was wondering if I can get a different lid for my pin lock keg so it has a different pressure release valve?

Yes you can buy a whole new lid or just the release valve. Keg Connection has them both, as well as other vendors.

Why do you need a valve? Just take off the gas in connector and push the poppet.

For me its just a couple more steps I don't mind spending a few bucks to avoid. A pull ring makes it really easy to purge a keg.

It makes it a lot easier to purge the air when you force carbonate
