I got a wine kit for christmas in 2008. I was just going to get to making it. Is the grape juice concentrate and yeast still viable to use?

I personally would get a new pack of yeast and try it. Most of what you have to worry about is lost time - it's paid for. I bet it is fine.

Probably long past expiration date. I'd still make it for the experience and hopefully get something drinkable out of it. New yeast for sure and taste the juice before doing the work. If it tastes like grape juice and not spoiled go for it.
