Started my first batch of cider the other day, using Ed Worts recipe with the exception of champagne yeast. Used a 5 gallon carboy and ended up filling it a little too much, so for the last couple of days it's been backing up into the airlock. It's nothing serious, just enough to be annoying, and I've already swapped the airlock for a 'fresh' one once. I'm curious what I should do. Should I just keep swapping out the airlocks? Should I empty some of it out? Should I rack the entire thing into a 6.5 gallon carboy? Just curious what the best option is. Thanks.
