Im making a an APA but instead of regular 2 row i have pilsen. How will this affect taste and should their be a particular mash temp i should use since im using pilsen. Basically its the beecave apa if that helps.

some folks will recommend a longer boil time (90 minutes minimum) with a pilsen out of concern for greater DMS (leads to a creamed corn taste). This would mean you will need to start with a larger volume of water to account for greater boil off.

Use your intended mash temp for the recipe.

It will be great.

Roger that. How would you handle the hope additions which were intended for 1 hour. Just spread it out or start with one hour left?
