Hi guys,
I have done already some research but I just couldn't find anything that you could consider a Red Hook Copper Hook clone. It's a brew that Red Hook always offers in spring. Does somebody know a recipe for it?

Thanks!

Dan:

I don't have the recipe, but I do have some idea of the specs on this beer. The OG is about 1.052 - 1.054, IBU 20 - 25. Malt use is around 85% base malt, 7 - 8% caramel 40, 3 - 4% Caramel 20 and 4 - 5% CaraPils. Finishing hops are noble hops such as Tettnanger, Halletau, or Saaz. Bittering hops are open but Willaimettes are one option.

I hope this helps.

You find most information on their webpage but I am still unable to make a recipe out of it. Sucks that there is nothing out there :(

Dan, the very first recipe I asked for on this forum was for Chinook / Copper Hook from Redhook :)

I ended up with this, what I call 2¢ Copper Ale.

1.00 lb Light Dry Extract (8.0 SRM) Dry Extract 12.7 %
6.00 lb Pale Liquid Extract (8.0 SRM) Extract 76.1 %
0.50 lb Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 6.3 %
0.25 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) Grain 3.2 %
0.13 lb Roasted Barley (300.0 SRM) Grain 1.6 %
1.25 oz Chinook [12.40%] (60 min) Hops 33.9 IBU
0.75 oz Chinook [12.40%] (30 min) Hops 15.6 IBU
1.00 oz Williamette [5.50%] (10 min) Hops 4.4 IBU
1.00 oz Pearle [8.00%] (1 min) Hops 0.8 IBU
1 Pkgs German Ale (Wyeast Labs #1007) Yeast-Ale

This was the 2nd beer I ever brewed, and it was pretty good. I've gotten quite a bit better and I think I should re-write it as a partial mash, since right now its just extract with grains for steeping.

Let me know what you think, I definately enjoyed it.
