I just got a Selection International Winexpert kit, and the instructions say to clean and sanitize equipment with specific chemicals (it just says a winemaking detergent for cleaning, but to sanatize with metabisulphate). If I clean with Oxiclean and sanitize with Starsan, will this be okay, or do I need to follow these fascist instructions?
 
I haven't seen this recommended any where but can you sanitize your beer equipment with potassium metabisulphite?
