Who's entering the state fair competition? This will be my first competition ever.

I just entered with my Double Belgian Specialty. (Category 16E) It's loosely based on the Northern Brewer La Petite Orange kit. But I've mad a few tweaks over time.

Who else is entering this year? The entry window is closing up. So if you are planning on entering you better move now!

I have 4 entries this year. 2 were modified based on the feedback I had last year. Fingers crossed. Anyone stewarding? I'm planning on doing Saturday at noon.

Dark Mild
Bourbon Dark Mild
Robust Porter - I made a smoked version last year that made it to mini-BOS
Lemongrass Wheat

I entered 12 total, including one hydromel. First time I have ever submitted a mead. Fingers crossed!!

I will be helping pre-judge this coming week, but I will be out of town for the normally scheduled judging on the fairgrounds. Kind of stinks, I took the BJCP entrance exam in May and I need judging points! Oh well, cabin time in WI sounds just fine to me...

12 beers! Jesus, that's a lot.

So I'll be stewarding at noon on Saturday (in case anyone here is judging or stewarding then). I'm on the spreadsheet for categories 10, 14 and 17.
