4 lbs malt extract
1 lbs raw wild flower honey
1/2 oz wormwood

simmer wormwood for 1 hour strain over malt extract and honey, cool to 70 pitch yeast.

The wormwood takes the place it is used for bittering and is extremly bitter at that. I have never done this, It is a recipe from 1692..just thoght it was interesting.

.5oz of dry wormwood would be WAY too much for a 5 gallon recpie. think more like 1/16 of an ounce, as I'm sure the .5oz was refuring to it's fresh weight. That stuff is one of the most bitter flowers on earth.
