BTP Water Question

Is there a way to apply a water profile to my recipes. I have made one for my local water source but don't know if the profile creator is only there for helping to adjust your water to a certain style or if you can actually apply it to a recipe and expect some sort of effect on the guidelines, gravity, IBU etc...?

I don't believe that the water profile is as sophisticated as you want it to be. Effecting IBU's, etc. seems like a massive undertaking.

I could be wrong. The water profile set up in BTP is one of my least favorite features which could be due to my not using it correctly.
