I need to add some oak and bourbon to my porter in the secondary. I plan on soaking the chips in bourbon for a couple days and placing in the secondary for a week. Do I need to sanitize the chips first or will the bourbon kill any bacteria? I was just gonna sanitize a jar fill with the chips and bourbon and dump into the secondary... Any advice if I'm doing it wrong???

You don't really need to sanitize anything. The alcohol content of the bourbon will do that for you.
