I just harvested two paper grocery bags full of cab grapes from a friend's house. After a few years of brewing I figured I could dabble into winemaking. So what's my first step? Do I just crush the grapes & ferment the juice? Should I pasteurize it? Maybe I should read a sticky somewhere... anyway, thanks!

Easiest thing to do if you plan on doing this more than once is buy a fruit press and press out the juice.. Get a suitable fermentor and pitch the yeast..:mug:
