I just bottled my latest batch of cider about 15 days ago and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I still want to keep experimenting and trying new stuff but I might keep keep three better bottles full of this batch and use the fourth for new ideas. The ingredients are as follows:
4 gallons Cub Foods apple cider
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups sugar
1 jar orange blossom honey
around 1 and 1/2 gallons water
White labs sweet mead/wine yeast WLP720
It turned out pretty mellow with not a lot of sweetness but it's a great easy-to-drink summer cider. Plus I have found that my friends that have tried it completely underestimate the alc%. Is it wrong that it pleases me to watch my friends get really drunk off my cider?
