I want to brew BierMuncher's Blue Balls Belgian Ale which calls for WhiteLabs 400.
Lately I have been using dry yeasts that seem to have cleaner finish and taste compared to liquid yeasts. Can anyone suggest an alternative dry yeast for the WhiteLabs 400 culture? Thanks!

WLP400 is wonderful... It ferments out just like a Hoegaarden. Build a starter, pitch it in the 60s and warm it up into the 70s, and give it three weeks to finish, it's a little pokey. This strain rocks, I'll definitely use it again. :rockin:

if you just don't want to buy liquid yeast, grab some Hoegaarden at the liq store, enjoy 'em, and save the yeast in the bottom to make a starter with. afterall, hoegaarden is WLP400
