This is for a 5 gallon batch. It is the first recipe that I came up with using what I had on hand.
8 lbs 2 row
1.15 lbs honey malt
1.25 lbs crystal 40
0.5 lbs chocolate malt
0.25 lbs crystal 120
Mashed at 154 for 60 minutes (BiaB method)
0.75oz Northern Brewer ]10.00%] @ 60 minutes
0.75oz Cascade [4.5%] @ 20 minutes
Whirfloc tablet @ 10 minutes
Added 0.5lbs honey after the third day of fermentation.
- This honey is from a farm in Goodsoil Saskatchewan, the best honey I've ever tasted. Also where the brew got it's name from.
