My brother is fabricating a 3 tier brew stand for us. He's a machine builder so I'm confident it'll be great. My question is on burner placement. How much space is the sweet spot so to speak between flame and bottom of brew kettle/hlt? Thanks and cheers!

If it makes a difference, I got the low pressure banjo burners from northern brewer.

You'll probably have to fiddle with it a little. Have him make the burners adjustable so that you can raise and lower them easily. I have a few different pots that I use and have to raise and lower the burner accordingly.

I'll have to see if that's possible. They mount at 4 locations around the perimeter.

We mounted ours 4" from bottom of the keg and they can be adjusted up 1". Also, low pressure propane. Still the in build process but here is how we mounted them.

That looks pretty bad ass so far. I'll post pics when complete. Thanks though.

I've got mine 4" away from flat-bottom kettles with low pressure propane.
I've seen on the boards here somewhere that for keggles, it's usually 2-3" from the bottom of the skirt.

I mounted mine at 4.75" below the keg. I started at 3" and adjusted down from there.

Finally got my brew stand done!! Just in time for home brew day tomorrow.
