I have a nut brown ale that has been in fermenter for two weeks. If I were thinking about putting it over some pecans how much should I use for a five gallon batch are frozen ok would I crush them and how would I sanitize them?

There is a brewpub in saint louis called Ferguson Street Brewing that makes a Pecan Nut Brown ale that is pretty tasty. Wether the "dry hop" with them I don't know. What I do know is the oil in those pecans will kill any head on the beer though.
