I am reconditioning a keg turned brew kettle i purchased off craigslist. I would like suggestions as to what fittings to use as far as style and where to look for good prices. The idea being i will put on this keg for a drain what i will build my entire system with as it grows.

looking for something good that will last.

I've had brass valves and fittings with welded on couplings on my system for 3 years now, and they're still fine.

As long as you don't do anything to damage them (drop...flames shooting out the side onto the valve etc) they should last as long as you like.

After that, it's a question of what features do you want?

Stainless Steel
Ability to take them apart
weldless fitting, soldered fitting or welded fittings
