Thankfully this is something that I am starting too see more and more of.

Not so much the candlelight ... but the realization that beer should not be relegated to the status of redneck, wife beating, UFO watching (beer bellied) trash juice.

Conversely wine is not to be enjoyed solely by the elitist, nose in the air, dog as an accessory, never worked a day-in-my-life trophy wife.

Some people just don't like beer, O.K. I don't like most red wines. To each his own.

As an update....months later and several batches..... I found a beer recipe that my wife really likes.... 3.3 pounds Muntons pre-hopped light LME, 2 lbs light DME safeAle 05.....

that simple and she loves it!

My wife cannot stand beer. She knows i love it, and love brewing it.

More beer for me. I just make sure that we have everything on hand so she can make herself a vodka sour.
