I was sitting back enjoying a Dos Equis today and they're not bad. Was wondering if anyone has had the Amber and how it compares to the regular green bottles. Flavor wise, quality wise?

Not only am I new to brewing...but I'm venturing out of my bud light cocoon and starting to enjoy the better beers of the world.

Dos Equis Amber is very nice draft, not so good in the bottle.

It is the inspiration for my Haus Amber Ale.

Mine is a lot tastier, naturally.

:mug:

I havent had the XX Amber on draft but it taste like a$$ out of the bottle. I do like regular XX with mexican food. I prefer Tecate Light for my go to Mexican Cerveza though :)

I think the amber is much better than the regular XX, but its still mediocre. theres much better ambers out there.

btw... are amber ales the same as red ales, just a slightly more yellowish tint to the color? I havent quite figured this out yet
