Well now that was fun.

Brewed my first attempt at several things. First black/brown double IPA, first double IPA, first time pitching on an existing yeast cake and my first experience w/ an OG over 1.100. Well decided to start fermentation at a cooler temp and left the Black Abyss in the garage. Glad I did. This was also my first experience with explosive fermentation. It blew the stopper and blowoff tube almost 5' away from Carboy. I hope this is a good sign.

Fixing to. It's still like a friggin volcano. Going to use bigger blowoff tube this time.

All cleaned up and bigger blowoff tube used. Now to get the temp down. It's heated up from the inside.
