I just bottle an Oktoberfest. I couldn't let that little bit in the bottom of the bucket to go to waste so I poured it in a glass to try it. It tasted pretty grainy. Should I be worried? It was an all grain batch, that I batch sparged. What would cause that kind of off taste?

It's warm, flat and green. The taste in the bottling bucket has little to do with the final taste unless you have tasted it regularly and compared it to the final product. I generally do not sample the bottling bucket for exactly the reason you describe. Your tongue is an incredible snesitive instrument. Its too early to identify off flavors much less troubleshoot them

I agree it wasn't to smart. The beer smells great though. And after what you said I'm not to worried about it now.
