Some friends of min brought back at least 1 (I'll find out in a few hours) of Westy 8 from a recent trip to Belgium.

Question - do I simply sit back and enjoy or do I bother with trying to do some yeat collection - I task that I have never undertaken?
 
It's the exact same strain that Westmalle and Achel use, and they both ferment at cooler temps so the yeast in their bottles may be less stressed. Either way I wouldn't bother because it's availible from Wyeast(3787) and White labs (WLP530) in a more viable form.
