Well I just finished drinking the gallon of homebrew cider I made. It was great! It tasted more like wine because I didn't give it enouph time to carbonate. However, it was really good. And it packed a good punch too.:mug:

If you just drank a gallon, it could not possibly have packed much of a punch. LOL :drunk:

Was it the apfelwein recipe? How strong? What yeast did you use?

It wasn't the apfelwein recipe. I have one of those going at the moment. It was just apple juice plus cider yeast. It was quite nice though. I drank it yesterday and today though.

So you were probably looking at something around 5.0%ABV. Not bad. I'm working on some juice with a little extra concentrate and a hefeweizen yeast right now.

Down to 1.016, it's quite tasty!!! I hope it finishes soon though. I'll be adding clearing agents to it at that point. Hefe yeast, ya know.
