Spirits/Beer pairings?

The other night, I had a brilliant idea. Recently, I've been having a scotch and stout (in two different glasses). I'll take a sip of my scotch, then a drink of my cream stout I have bottled right now. I'm finding all sorts of new and enhanced flavors out of both drinks, and I feel like this will become my new routine. I've never enjoyed drinking this much!

Anyone else tried something like this? I'd like suggestions for some more pairings!
