Krausen this...

Hello. I've just made my 5th batch (an amber) last night, and woke this morning to find krausen run a muck. I've changed the water in the blow off pot, but there's still a lot of krausen within the tube.

My questions is this:

Can I remove (and quickly, but temporarily, replace the seal with the airlock) clean out my blow off tube? Or does it not even matter?

Sure no problem, I use tin foil as a cover when these things happens and I need to do some quick cleaning.

ditto, I'd just spray a peice of tin foil with sanitizer (spray bottle of Starsan is a must to keep around for little stuff like this) to cover while cleaning the blowoff out. Then spray the blowoff before sticking it back in.

i'd say only if it's completely blocked like mine was
