I plan to brew something basic and to the point for this years Christmas beer. I plan to brew this Sunday and keg it around the 10th of Dec. 2 fermenters.

Grain
5# Belg pale ale
2.5# Belg Aromatic
1.5# flaked oats
1.25# American Choc

Hops
.5oz steriling 60min
1oz cascade @ 20min
1oz cascade @ 10min

152deg mash, 60min

WL 002 english ale yeast

=============================

I would like to throw this off a little bit as it will be my Christmas beer. Last year I did a brown ale and all of it was gone in about 3 days. I am afraid this recipe is very bland and basic.

Any input would be great.

That sounds like a lot of Aromatic to me. I would go with Munich instead. Other than that it looks tasty.

Sounds like an interesting recipe. When I first looked, I thought it seemed a little light on fermentables, but it comes out nice on my calculator.
I assume you are shooting for a mild hop character for bittering with Sterling.

I bet it will turn out nicely.
