I`ve heard of guys using a paint stirrer and drill to whirlpool / aerate the wort in the kettle....and my system is pretty primative...IC with no pump and no o2 setup for aeration. So I had an Idea of using the paint mixer in a drill at flameout but with a hop sack full of hops attached somehow to the shaft of the paint stirrer. The bag would twist around the shaft and spin the hops in the wort while rapidly cooling. My thought is that it would have the same basic effect of a hopback except instead of moving the wort through the hops , I`d be moving the hops through the wort.Has anyone tried this?
