I'm getting ready to ship out beer to family and Secret Santa members for the holidays. My sister did my labels last year, but she isn't in school right now so she doesn't have access to the software she needs to do them this year.

So, I fired up Inkscape and came up with the following (more to come):

Any ideas on improving these?

Nice artwork and layout.

The only thing missing that I like to see is Date brewed, ABV and IBU information.

Is the Rover label the one you used in the swap?

I like them! So, will you be cutting them out by hand (since they are curved)?

Yeah, by hand. Hopefully years of computer work have inoculated me against repetitive stress disorder.

If only I had taken better notes :( I still have the recipes though, and I can at least run the numbers for decent estimates.

Yep.

Shield is to narrow. otherwise nice work.

You think so? My only problem is I have like 6 different objects to get the graphics on the back label right, and the text curving around the shield correctly.
