Is $550 a good deal for a used Blichmann 14 gal conical fermentor with leg extensions? Looks like a new one from Northernbrewer would be about $720. Wondering if used should be a bit cheaper than $550.

My standard response to anyone looking for a 15 gallon Blichmann pot applies to this too !

Use a sanke keg !

(I totally understand if you gotta have the bling, but just pointing out there is a MUCH cheaper SS option :)

He's talking about a conical fermenter not pot. I can't personally say, as I just use 2 buckets that fit in my fridge.

A quick Google search indicates you can get a new one for $599. Looks like the leg extensions will add another $125-ish.

I didn't check other sites buy it may be less elsewhere. I guess whether it's a good deal or not would depend on the condition of the used one.

Just offer what you are comfortable with. He will work with you or not. Something else will always come up. Good luck
