Anyone use these? Are they a cheaper alternative to the SS ones? What are the disadvantages of these compared to the stainless ones?

I'm sure lots of folks use the 525PC, it is functionally identical to its stainless steel brother. With the latter, you never have to worry about the finish chipping off, or anything slowly being eaten up by acidic beer, but otherwise either will work just fine.

Full disclosure: My six faucets are all 525SS...

Cheers!

I just got the 525PC and they work great...yea I know they are chrome but the savings were worth it for me...and taken care of chrome will last a very long time.

After having one chrome plated faucet years ago, the five that followed have all been stainless steel. I don't like using acidic sanitizers (Star-San) around chrome plated stuff. If you use Iodophor, knock yourself out.
