What do you think of this IPA? Perhaps it is named wrong. I was thinking of getting the 60 Minute hop profile, but wanted more of a malty flavaor as well. Going to do this one as an extract for change as I have been under some amount of pain. For those who remembered TAFTBD, that IPA did not turn out... bugs in the primary :cross: I have NEVER had to toss a brew before.

Oh and one more thing... where is that place you get hops for less on the net? If I follow this one, I'm going to need some..... :ban:

That was from Papazian's version of the DFH 60 min IPA. It's on here somewhere, it's the 65-65-65-6.5

Crap, I can't find it. Here is what I haved saved, it's also in Microbrewed Adventures. The grams really make it a PITA. Not sure why he couldn't just stick to ounces.

65-65-65-6.5

8.25# light malt extract syrup OR 6.6# light dried malt extract

1.25# crystal malt 15-L

1 oz Warrior pellet hops 16% alpha
1 oz Amarillo pellet hops 8% alpha
3/4 oz Simcoe pellet hops 12% alpha

additional 5g each of Warrior, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops pellets for dry hopping

Wyeast Irish Ale yeast #1084 OR White California ALe yeast WLP001

3/4 cup corn sugar

Boil time - 65 minutes

Add equal amounts of hops every 5 minutes during boil.

I did the 90 minute version of this beer. I poured my first glass from the keg, took a sip and thought "Uh oh, I've got a whole keg of this stuff..." By the time I finished the glass I thought to myself "HELL YA!!!! I'VE GOT A WHOLE KEG OF THIS STUFF!!!!". If that makes any sense.
