About to start 2nd batch of beer.

My first batch came with instructions to steep the crystal in a seperate saucepan and then add the steeped liquid to my brew pot after I had added my extract to boiled water. Sparging the grains w/ hot water at the time.

Now the next recipe I'm trying simply says to "Steep in 1.5 Gallons at 160 for 20 min". I'm guessing this is steeping directly in the brewpot itself using a cloth bag. right?

My question is once i've steeped and removed the grain bag do I top up with water, bring to a boil and add the LME?

thanks
