Alright, so i found a 20q SS pot at the grocery store for $9.99. It was such a deal i just had to get it. Anyway, i did a test boil to see if it was any better then my crappy enamel pot. When i took the pot off my burner this is what i saw. I think this is an indication that the inner coils are not making direct contact with the pot. Is my thought process correct?

I had that too on my electric stove. That is the coils being so hot for so long that it takes quite some time to cool. After it cools, are all the coils relatively level? Electric stoves are either 100% on or 100% off and you will probably get ring marks inside your kettle as well. Anyways, I've never used enamel, but have used SS. For 10$, it is a steal.
