Tasting Notes
slight caramel notes; low carbonation; nice balance but prominent hop flavour/aroma
8.5# MO
1# crystal 45

1.5 oz Northdown (7.9%) 60 minutes
1 oz Fuggles (4.5%) 10 minutes

effed-up mash schedule (don't ask!)
35 mins @ 150
45 mins @ 154

15 mins @ 170

This turned out to be a nice beer despite the weird mash schedule!

Picture looks cloudy but this beer turned surprisingly (i.e. crystal) clear after some time in the keg. I don't know that I'd go quite as late on the Fuggles next time--I think the hop flavour masks some of the caramel flavour characteristic to this sort of beer.
