Hey All,

I came across a 'collection' of 1 gallon bottles with the finger ring handles... but they are dirty. Some have mouse skeletons in them.

How would you sanitize them?

So far I have them soaking in a hot water and bleach, and they've cleaned up real well... what else might you do?

Just so you know... if they have screw on tops, they're no good for bottling. Those types of growlers won't hold carbonation.

I would throw the ones out that had mouse bones in them. The rest can be soaked in oxyclean or PBW for a few days and rinsed.

i should have clarified: i would use these for brewing wine, so bubblers, not screw tops.

what's PBW ? PBR i know of, and it really cleans me out, but PBW...
