Can someone give me a ballpark estimate on what I can expect my boiloff rate to be on a 60 minute boil? Im using a 5 gallon stainless steel pot for 2.5/2.75 gallon batches of beer. thanks for any info

depends a bit on the surface area (wide pot vs tall pot), wind and outside temp, and how hard you boil. However the average boiloff is somewhere between 15-20 percent or so I would estimate. I lose about 20 percent per hour with my system.
I have a fairly wide pot, and I start with 3 gallons, and I estimate I lose just under 3/4 gal.

I loose about 1.25 gallons over an hour for a 6.7 gallon preboil batch.
