Wow! That was a blast. Took about 5 hours from start to finish to get everything setup complete the mini, boil, cool, carboy, and cleanup.

One question came to mind when I was running the sparge water trhough the grains. I ran 2 gallons of sparge water through at a rate of 1/3 cup every 20 seconds like my mini instructions stated. Then when all the water was gone the instructions don't tell you what to do.

I picked up the grain sack and let more sweet wort run out of it, then my arms started to get tired and I began squeezing the bag to force the sweet wort out, but this was REALLY hot, 150 degrees in fact.

How should I have finished extracting all the sweet wort from the grain sack?

Thanks!

I put my grain sac in a colander and let it drip into the boil kettle for a few minutes (colander will rest on the pot). That will usually get me an extra bit or wort!
