Interesting data. This is the 2012 USDA report that shows how many acres of each hop were planted compared to last year. Now remember, these are potential yields, and they don't account for what the growing conditions will be like this summer.

They planted over twice as much Simcoe and Citra. Amarillo got lumped into 'Other' so it's tough to tell if they are growing any more of it.

Kind cool data though.
 
That's really good news. I think i'm going to start making a 2012 Hop Harvest fund so I can get a bunch up front. I ordered a bunch from the 2010 harvest, and still have some left (amarillo - which is good when some of the cheaper places are selling it for upwards of $4 an ounce).
