Has anyone ever fermented table sugar with bread yeast? Not for beer but for hunch punch.

I'm sure someone has. But probably wouldn't ever try and repeat it if they could help it. Besides, table sugar doesn't have the necessary nutrients for the yeast to survive.
Might as well just mix some bread, sugar, and Jolly Ranchers into a soup and let the wild yeasts take over the job. Bonus points for toilet as a fermenting vessel.

Try it. I think it will taste bad and make your guests fart, but let us know how it went.
