Hey guys, I have a spiced hard cider in my fermenter, and being that this was my first attempt at cider, I think I made a mistake. The recipe called for me to boil up some brown sugar, sweet gale, and cinnamon, but I strained out the cinnamon when I poured in the mixture. Was I supposed to leave it in? And how will this affect my taste? Thanks!

The only thing I can say is to taste it. If it tastes like it needs more cinnamon, steam a cinnamon stick/boil it for a couple of minutes, cool, then throw into your fermenter and taste periodically until you get the amount of cinnamon you want.
