Can you give me a run down on how it works? Does the pump force carbonate the beer? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

No, it only pumps the beer out of the keg. Plus they only work with the 2-piece bung where the tap cane (lubricated with water works well) pushes the center out of the bung.

You have to prime the kegs yourself...2-3 TBS of Corn Sugar works depending on the carb level you want and the temp it's conditioned in.

Most of the time the kegs should not be opened unless the plan is to finiish the keg.

Sometimes you have to use 2 CO2 cartridges to dispense 1 keg.

With the hand pump the beer will stay under pressure a long time when stored in the fridge. I had a lightly carbed Dubbel in the fridge for 2 weeks and it was still under pressure.
