I just replaced all of my old chrome/brass shanks because they were turning green, had a slight brassy taste on first pours, and I couldn't get them clean. I purchased new stainless shanks from micromatic to match up with my perlicks but if he beer is sitting in the lines for more than an hour, the first pour tastes horribly metallic. It's worse than what it was with my old brass shanks. Has anyone else had a similar issue with their stainless shanks? The ones I'm using are the welded stainless goosenecks that I recently purchased from micromatic. Any thoughts on how to fix this problem? Or will the taste go away over time? I've only had them hooked up for a few weeks now.

It has to be something ON the Stainless. Oils, ect.
I'd pull them off, and clean the hell out of them.
