Anyone ever try using a milk can modified for a boiler???? I think they are aluminum
 
Milk cans will be either stainless steel, if they're fairly current....or galvanized steel with soldered joints if they're older.

Don't even think of using a galvanized one, unless you're just generating steam from one (You said "boiler").
 
I know a couple pros locally who are using dairy equipment, but we are talking 5-10 barrel. I haven't seen a milk can in 40 years.
