I'm an editor and I've been working a lot of nights lately so today I decided to brew.
Its my first PM, a Belgian Golden Ale. I forgot to take an OG but I hit my mash temperature and my water ratio pretty darn close for a first try, so at least I can be happy about that.
I mashed 6.5 lbs. of grains at about 153 for 60 minutes with about 2 gallons of water. I sparged in the brewpot at 170 in 2 gallons, ended up with the perfect amount of wort pre-extract, about 3.2 gallons...
Also, I decided to try adding my extract (3.3 Extra Light Liquid) at 30 instead of 60 to try and achieve a brighter color. Also, I added 12 0z. honey around 10...
Everything sound good?
