For anyone searching for old Firestone parts, I got this e-mail from Sigmo this morning
"Poppets - are No Longer Available
Nylon Bushings - are No Longer Available

Tank Plug - Liquid, part# 23-6153 $6.10 each
Tank Plug - Gas, part# 23-6152 $6.10 each"

If anyone else knows who might have these parts, let us know.

Yep I have one of these, the nylon bushings get pretty ugly after a while, also the plastic dip tube, but there does not seem to be any good way to convert to regular parts.

I just ordered a poppet for an old Firestone from Austin Homebrew. I've not yet installed it to test but it appears to be the same piece, yellowish seal.

EDIT: Works like a charm :)

Really? Do you drill out to fit the tube, then also drill out to inset it?

I took some pics but forgot to bring em. all U have to drill out is the inlet side its the same size about half the way down inside the attached fitting then all U do is drill it the rest of the way at least that is the way mine is. then a reg. short tube slides right in.:)
U dont have to drill for the inset.
